Join our team: Communications Specialist
The Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center (MAISRC) is searching for a Communications Specialist. This person will develop, implement and evaluate communications and marketing strategies for internal and external audiences, in alignment with MAISRC’s strategic communications plan. Key areas of work include:
Manage MAISRC’s primary communications channels, including website, social media, and email newsletters.
Initiate, design, and develop educational and outreach materials, including fact sheets, handbooks, and videos for internal and external audiences.
Cultivate communications and marketing opportunities with print and broadcast media, as well as identify promotional and advertising opportunities.
Work with members of the MAISRC staff to support public events and development opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, natural resources, environmental studies or a related field, as well as 2+ years professional experience, or 6+ years combined equivalent education and experience.
